September Recap 2021
Every day we are creating, playing and learning so many great things in our nurseries. So we thought it would be a nice idea to pull out some of our favourite things from the month to share with you.
During September we’ve had so many exciting things taking place. These included celebrating Grandparents' day, looking forward into Autumn and even the launch of our new Little Pioneers nursery at Cheltenham Park.
Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Cheltenham Park
Our new nursery is now officially open! We've cut the ribbon and eaten the cake and we just couldn't be happier with all we have achieved.
Our open day was an absolute blast! We had the pleasure of welcoming so many wonderful families to join in the fun and take a look around at all we have to offer. And the feedback we have received has been amazing.
The nursery officially opened its doors to our new little pioneers on Monday 27th September and we can't wait to see more action from our latest nursery soon.
Autumn Time
This month some of our nurseries have been making the most of the start of Autumn with lots of fun activities. The children at our Sutton nursery have been discovering Autumn colours and using pine cones to work on their counting skills! Whilst Newburn nursery pre-schoolers have enjoyed a nature walk to collect leaves, sticks and pinecones. We are also looking forward to all those warming Autumn foods and harvesting some of our Autumn Veg.
Grandparents' Day
On September 12th our nurseries celebrated Grandparents' Day. Some invited grandparents to visit in the garden, while others wrote and posted letters and pictures to their grandparents. All the children love showing off what they do at nursery to their extended family! We hope they enjoy all the lovely colourful pictures and drawings they received too :)
'Talk Like a Pirate Day'
'Talk like a pirate day' is a fun international day the children love to take part in. The children are encouraged to explore language and how we speak in different accents and dialects depending on where we live and where we grew up. The children also had fun exploring treasure chests and at our Seaham nursery they took an interest in the natural treasures that were to be found on Seaham beach.
