June 2021 recap
Another month and another few weeks of fun-filled activites have been enjoyed at our nurseries. Keep reading to hear all about some of our favourite things from the month.
During June we’ve had so many exciting events taking place. These included lots of celebrations including Father's Day and the Queen's birthday as well as learning more about Pride month. Some of our children are also really interested in the Euro's so have had a look at flags arround the world as well as learning some new football skills.
Celebrating Father's Day
The children always love making cards, gifts and pictures to take home to their loved ones. Which is why celebrating all the Dads, Granddads, Uncles and their other male role models was big in all of our nurseries. We made cards, photos and pictures, and can't wait to hopefully celebrate in person next year.
Hip Hip Hooray - Happy birthday Queen Elizabeth
The Queen Celebrated her official birthday on the 12th June and we celebrated too. Some of our nurseries held ‘street parties’ in our nursery gardens. Children enjoyed making cakes, dressing up and of course eating their favourite sandwiches. Some of the favourite sandwiches this year were cheese, cheese and ham and of course... jam!
Celebrating Pride Month
We know families come in all shapes and sizes and that it's so important for our children to understand equality and diversity. So Pride month has been the perfect opportunity to teach our little ones about accepting and understanding individuality and the make up of different families. Our children have had lots of fun looking at and creating rainbow flags and celebrating in festival style.
Euros
The UAFA Euros 2020 football tournament has begun... we're sure you've noticed! Our children have been very excited talking about the football matches as well as country kits. They've also been brushing up on their football skills as well as looking at flags from around Europe.
