Educating children to have guiding values that supports them to achieve their potential starts with finding ways to talk about them, living them and applying them every day. Our approach is truly all-inclusive. We focus on helping children:-
-
manage emotions
-
build resilience
-
to care and to empathise
-
to listen
-
to be confident
-
to understand the impact their actions have on others and the world
-
to get the best start to their academic education and start a lifelong love of learning.
We invest in children to best prepare them for their future journey beyond Little Pioneers.
The Co-operative values and principles have been used to support and educate communities since 1850 and they provide a trustworthy model for raising our next generation of little pioneers. The Little Pioneer way is to focus not just on academic and developmental achievements but on building the qualities that co-operative values best enable - building kind, conscientious, confident and happy children.
These values lie at the heart of our ethos and thread through our practices every day. Our own Little Pioneers, Ping, Ebo, Alice, Charlie and Ela, help bring them to life and are used to underpin messaging that children can relate to:-
-
Ping believes in being open and honest about how you’re feeling and expressing it in a positive way
-
Ebo believes that we have a responsibility to look after each other and the world
-
Alice believes that everyone should be treated equally and respected for their individuality
-
Charlie believes that when everyone works together it's more fun
-
Ela believes that everyone should have their say
We thrive on collaboration and partnership and have created a sense of community that encourages everyone to have their say and be heard. That means we’ll also ensure your own values and aspirations for your children are captured, demonstrated and reinforced through our learning practices.
