Three new nurseries join the Co-op Childcare family!

We’ve expanded… introducing our three new nurseries in Sunderland, Tavistock, Hetton and Seaham!

Our three new sites in Sunderland see the group increase its strong and successful presence in the North East, adding to the three existing Co-op Childcare nurseries in Newcastle, which have been rated ‘Outstanding’ and 'Good' by Ofsted. The newly acquired nurseries provide places for up to 259 children and employ 100 practitioners, delivering the same high standard of care demonstrated across the Co-op Childcare group.

What can our new nurseries offer your children?

All three of our new nurseries provide welcoming environments, with light and bright interiors, child and nature-friendly outdoor spaces, and lots of room to play and learn.

We will shortly be launching our Healthy Living and Wellbeing initative within the Sunderland nurseries to ensure that children learn about health and wellbeing from their early years, and we will be working with the nurseries to help them achieve their Millie's Mark accreditions.

What can our new nurseries offer parents?

Your child’s wellbeing and development is at the heart of everything we do. Our new nurseries are no different, as our Chief Operating Officer Sally Mayer explains:

“The strength of our position in this region is a testament to how our co-operative values resonate with parents. We’re a different kind of childcare provider and the new sites will allow us to offer a rich and varied curriculum for the children in the area.”

“We’re looking to enhance what is already a fantastic childcare offering and we look forward to working with our new colleagues to provide the best possible start in life for every single child.”
