Child Friendly Recipe - Tuna Pasta Bake

Here's another one of our tasty recipes, that we use in our nurseries, for you to try at home. Pasta is a big favourite for so many children and they are sure to love this one too!

This tuna pasta bake is filled with yummy tuna and vegetables and your little ones can easily be involved in helping out. Check out the 5 simple steps in the recipe below.

Ingredients:

-         Large Spanish Onion – 40g

-         Dried Mixed Herbs – 2g

-         Mild Grated Cheddar Cheese – 50g

-         Penne Wholemeal Pasta – 200g

-         Plain Flour – 60g

-         Whole Milk – 800ml

-         Tuna Chunks in Brine – 180g

-         Soft Spread – 60g

Ready, steady, cook!

  1. Firstly, cook the pasta and leave this to one side.

  2. Next, fry the diced onions and mixed herbs and cook until they’re soft.

  3. Afterwards, add the flour and mix will, then slowly add the milk whilst stirring all the time.

  4. Then slowly bring this to the boil and add the pasta, sweetcorn and the tuna.

  5. Once completed, put this into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle grated cheese on top.

To make this vegetarian, please change the tuna for mixed vegetables.
