Child Friendly Recipe - Chunky Vegetable Soup
We love anything and everything to do with food at Little Pioneers. Things like growing it, learning about it and more importantly – eating it. We use the freshest seasonal (and local) ingredients that we can get so that we know our children are getting the best nutrition possible.
Here’s a recipe for a quick meal to make: Chunky Vegetable Soup – made with delicious ingredients like leeks, carrots and celery. Your child will love helping you out and will be very happy with what you create!
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti – 50g
- Boiling water – 200ml
- Tomato Puree – 60g
- Dried Mixed Herbs – 1.6g
- Garlic Puree – 2.8g
- Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil – 12ml
- Sliced Leeks – 30g
- Carrots – 30g
- Large Spanish Onion – 30g
- Sweetcorn – 30g
- Celery Head – 30g

Ready, steady, cook!

Firstly, chop all the vegetables and fry them in a little oil for about 10 minutes to soften them.

Next, break the spaghetti into small pieces, cook them and then refresh,

Afterwards, add the chopped tomatoes, water and tomato puree and simmer this on a low heat for 45 minutes.

Finally, add the cooked spaghetti to the vegetables and serve.
