Child Friendly Recipe - Roast Chicken Dinner

We love everything about food - growing it, learning about it and more importantly eating it. We use the freshest of seasonal ingredients that we can acquire so that at Little Pioneers we know our children are getting the best possible nutrition.

Here’s a fun recipe for you to put your cooking skills to the test: Roast Chicken Dinner. Your little ones will love helping you out and but more importantly eating it!

Ingredients- 5 Portions:

-         Extra Virgin Oil – 12ml

-         Diced Swede – 60g

-         Sliced Green Beans – 100g

-         Carrots – 70g

-         Fresh Potatoes – 440g

-         Diced Chicken Breast – 250g

-         Peas – 100g

-         Gravy – 40g

To make this vegetarian, use Quorn fillets.

Ready, steady, cook!

  1. Firstly, place the chicken in an oven proof dish with a little water and a lid until cooked.

  2. Then cut the potatoes into 4 or 6 depending on the size. Coat them in oil and roast.

  3. Next, cook the vegetables until they are soft, make the gravy and serve this all together.
