Child Friendly Recipe - Roast Pork Dinner
We love everything about food - growing it, learning about it and more importantly eating it. We use the freshest of seasonal ingredients that we can acquire so that at Little Pioneers we know our children are getting the best possible nutrition.
Here’s a home classic recipe for you to make: Roast Pork Dinner. Your little ones will love helping you out and but more importantly eating it!
Ingredients- 5 Portions:
- Extra Virgin Oil – 12ml
- Diced Swede – 60g
- Broccoli – 60g
- Sliced Green Beans – 100g
- Carrots – 70g
- Fresh Potatoes – 440g
- Boneless Shoulder of Pork – 250g
To make this vegetarian, use Quorn fillets.

Firstly, place the pork into an oven proof dish with a little salt and water and then roast in the oven (Allow 35 minutes per 500g plus an extra 15 minutes).

Next, cut the potatoes into 4 or 6 depending on the size and add these to boiling water for a few minutes. Then drain them and add them to a roasting tray, coat with a little oil and roast for an hour or until golden and crispy.

Afterwards, boil the vegetables until they are soft and then make the gravy and serve all this together.
